Lianhui / Aluminum Ceiling System

Stepped Lay-In Ceiling

Product Features

  • The stepped edge rests on an exposed T-grid, leaving the panel face recessed.
  • Individual panels lift out of the grid for access above the ceiling.
  • Edge heights are 4.5, 8 and 10 mm; perforated faces can use acoustic backing.
Construction
Stepped-edge aluminum lay-in tile
Thickness
0.50–0.80 mm, in 0.05 mm increments
Edge options
4.5 / 8 / 10 mm
Suspension system
Exposed T-grid suspension
  • Moisture resistance
  • Recyclable aluminum
  • Color retention*
  • Acoustic options*
  • Heat dissipation*
  • Lightweight & workable

*Color retention depends on the finish. Sound absorption requires a specified acoustic assembly; heat dissipation depends on the open or perforated layout.

System Detail

Construction & Installation

600 × 600 stepped-edge panels with square-groove grid

Enlarge drawing & English key

Reading the Drawing

Panels rest inside the visible grid formed by main and cross members. The section and profile views show how the stepped panel edge sits in the grid.

Numbered Component Key

Match each number to the label below. Dimensions shown on the drawing are in millimeters unless noted.

  1. 600 module stepped-edge grid
  2. Main grid member
  3. Cross grid member
  4. 600 × 600 stepped-edge panel
  5. 8 mm edge return
  6. M8 expansion anchor
  7. M8 galvanized hanger rod
  8. 38/50 main-carrier hanger
  9. Stepped-grid hanger
  10. 38/50 main carrier
  11. Stepped-edge grid
  12. Edge return height

Installation Steps

  1. Measure the finished ceiling elevation from the design drawings. Mark the level line and fix the perimeter angle along the walls.
  2. Drill the suspension points and fix the hanger rods with expansion anchors.
  3. Fit the main-carrier hangers and light-steel main carriers. Adjust their height and level, keeping the carriers parallel.
  4. Use the stepped-grid hangers to connect the main grid members to the light-steel carriers. Join the main grid members and insert the cross members into them.
  5. Gently place the panels into the squares formed by the main and cross grid members, then align them.
  6. Measure perimeter panels on site, cut them to fit and support their edges on the perimeter angle.

These system details explain the illustrated assembly. Anchor selection, structural capacity and final suspension spacing must follow the approved project drawings and local requirements. Different carrier configurations are not interchangeable.

Surface Finish

Polyester coating, powder coating, transfer finishes and roll coating are finish options for lay-in panels.

Typical Applications

Office buildings, offices, corridors, airports, stations, factories, hospitals, clubs, banks, shopping centers, schools and exhibition halls.
